So, I was facebooking and found this survey thing that my brother filled out. Something about listing 25 random things about myself and thought I should do it. I should be sleeping, but I took a nap earlier (more like I totally ko'd while watching heroes) so I'm not too tired. But maybe after these 25 things I should feel a bit more sleepy.
1) I don't have a middle name. When I was little, I always wanted my middle name to be Katherine. I really liked that name and it was similar to Kimberly (I believe, which was the name of the pink power ranger from back in the day, LOL! She was my favorite).
2) The reason why I am into video games is because of my brother. It first started with me watching him play games (Oot!), then picking games up after he was done with them (FFX), and then I eventually started playing a game that he played too - because I wondered what was so addictive about it. Well, I found the answer out later later (WoW).
3) On that note, I played WoW for approx. 3 years or so. I quit about 4 months ago for school. I would've started playing again, but I have a wonderful boyfriend that I gladly spend all my free time with and I wouldn't have it any other way.
4) I have two (new) pet goldfish named Jr. and Bacon. If my boyfriend and I get a third fish, it will be named Cheeseburger. The reason is because driving back from the Woodland Aquarium (where we got them), I asked my boyfriend what we should name them and he saw a Jack in the Box sign that said "Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger," and that was that.
5) The secret behind my dog's name. Jiao-Jiao. I really don't know what got into me or what I was thinking. I just say random words that I make up and I guess I started calling my dog this and then everyone else started calling her that too. So what does it all mean? We'll never know. I used to call my german shepherd, Penney, Nezshubutt and Poochdee, too. I have no idea what those mean either, but she loved it when I called her random gibberish names.
6) Sometimes when I say things, I actually sing it for no apparent reason. Well, I actually don't sing it, more like say it with a tune. If you're familiar with the show, How I Met Your Mother, just recall the episode where everyone is doggin' on Marshall about his bad habit of singing stuff randomly. For example, the other week when I made some spaghetti and put it into a bowl I sang, "Got my bowl of spaghettttttiiiiiiii~~~" And then my roomate said I was just like Marshall.
7) The secret behind the 9264 in my old yahoo email. I've had a lot of people ask what those numbers meant and I always told them they were just random (yeah, right). It was more of a combination of my being lazy and not wanting to explain the reasoning. Well, here it goes. I had a gigantic celeb crush in the beginning of high school on Keanu Reeves. Keanu's birthday is September (9), 2, 1964 (64). The mystery hath been unraveled.
8) I love acting. A lot. I took drama in 8th grade, professional acting classes at the Jean Shelton Actor's Lab a year or so ago, and introductory theater at CCSF. People have always told me that I've been quite a convincing actress. I'm hoping that one day I'll have the chance to thrive on that hobby.
9) When kids had their security blankets, I had my security pillow. My pillow even had a name. Mubulis. He had green, white and pink flower patterns on him and he was bigger than me when I first got him. I also loved using him as a napkin so my mom always called him my, "stinky pillow." One day, she washed him and I got so upset that I started crying and kicking the washing machine because I wanted to get him out. When I got him back, he smelled different (clean, lol) but I didn't like it. So I told my mom I wanted to drink soup and when I got the soup I started drizzling it all over him to get his smelly smell back. :P
10) I used to be heavily addicted to the PC game The Sims and Habbo. I got all the expansion packs for the game up to SuperStar for The Sims and I still remember the first cheat code for unlimited amounts of money (Klapaucius) and the second cheat after Livin' Large (rosebud). There was a summer where I was in Orange County at my aunt's house and all I did was log onto Habbo all day and chat with my friends. I became really close friends with this girl that lived in Malaysia and this guy named Eric, whom I called Blue all the time because his character name was Bluewizard.
11) When I was in middle school, my idol was the WWF/WWE wrestler, Lita. I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her. I used to play wrestle with my brother and my cousin too. I stopped doing that when one day my cousin tried to rock-bottom me on the couch and we fell and I jacked up my arm to the point where I couldn't even lift a glass of water without it hurting. And no, I did not go to the hospital even then because whenever I would get hurt or sick, my mom would tell me that I would just get better myself and I didn't need to go to the doctor. I always got better, too.
12) In 2004, when I was 15, I went with my cousin to my first ever anime convention in San Jose. There was this guy that liked me at the con, and being totally new to the whole dating/flirting scene, I had no idea what was really going on and what it all meant. Well, when the guy started getting too close for comfort, my friend and I ditched him in an anime screening room and bounced. We then went to Denney's which we then dubbed as the Official Con restaurant and I ordered the appetizer of fries with cheese and bacon bits with ranch dipping sauce. Mmmm, heart attack.
13) I am Atheist. Not agnostic. I can respect other people's religions and beliefs (and I do), so long as they do not impose their beliefs onto me. That is one thing that I cannot, and never can stand. I used to be so ready to engage in heated debates and discussions over religion (my reference book of choice was a thick purple book titled Atheism: A Case Against God) which I carried around with me even to school for a while. I even tried to start an Atheism club at school, which was unfortunately denied for some stupid reason. I tried to argue the case by pointing out in previous year books (keeping in mind my school was only a few years old at the time) that there was a Christianity Faith Club in the classes before - but even then, my club proposal was still turned down.
14) The lines on my right hand tell me that I'm destined to have three kids. I adore the name Delilah and would love to name one of my kids that. The reason why I like that name is because that was the name of the beautiful white dog in Homeward Bound II (the one that Chance falls in love with).
15) I talk a lot of shit. A lot. Most of the time what I say is true. But sometimes it's pure crap that I just make up because I like to be spiteful. I used to be really bad when I was in high school, people started calling me 98lbs of fury. I also never back down from anyone or anything. Even when I have a feeling that I might lose or what I'm saying is starting to sound like pure nonsense, I will still not back down until I either win or the other person gives up because I'm just not making any sense at all.
16) My two favorite video game fan fictions of all time are Breathe (FFVII) and Castles In The Sky (FFVIII). Breathe really helped capture the essence of all the characters and I loved all the twists and turns in the storyline. I still remember the cliff hanger that was left off in the sequel, where Cloud faints from mako poisoning. In Castles In The Sky, Squall and Rinoa were separated from one another because of a stupid misunderstanding that just spiraled out of control - and it didn't help much when Rinoa got into an accident that took her sight. So sad, but so awesome. I'd love to print both of those fics out and read them all over again.
17) The first Roleplay story I've ever written with my friends was made up of entirely of cliche's and ridiculous nonsense. There was a scene where a guy in the story (named Guy, because we never came up with a creative name for him) turns into a big fat demon and starts singing Britney Spears and screaming, 'Hit me baby one more time!!!' over and over again. It was so stupid, but still so awesome. We also made a sequel which I don't have anymore because my laptop decided to die one day and I lost everything. The only reason why I still have the original story is because I decided to print it all out on paper one day and put it all into those protective clear sheets. Go me.
18) I used to watch Clifford, the show about the Big Red Dog all the time. I really adored the island that they lived on, Birdwell island. It always seemed to peaceful and nice, kinda like the utopia get-away that doesn't really quite exist in the real world. But it would be so awesome if some of those storyline settings actually existed. That would be cool. I used to watch Sagwa (the Chinese kitty show) and Dragon Tales all the time too. Oh, and these were all little kid shows that I watched when uh...I wasn't a little kid, lol!
19) To be cont. Because 25 is really hard to get to! Time for sleeps.
